Report: Illinois sees big jump in deaths from car accidents

A recent report from the National Highway Traffic Administration revealed that deaths in car accidents in Illinois were up an estimated 24% in the first three months of 2022 as compared to last year. According to NHTSA estimates, 280 people died on Illinois roads in the first quarter of this year. Nationwide, agency estimates indicate that more than 9,500 people have died in car crashes during the first quarter of 2022, a 7% increase from the same period a year ago.

Safety experts attribute the rise to drivers engaging in dangerous behaviors including speeding, driving while impaired, and distracted driving.

If you or a loved one have been injured in a car accident, contact The Law Office of Danny Biederman today to discuss your potential case.
